Balsam vacation home is right on the beach! The highlight of this vacation property is the bright screened porch. Start and end your day on your porch -- sip your morning coffee and enjoy the lake breeze, then relax in the evening and view the sunset. Inside, a wood interior and fireplace complete the home. The living room is open to the kitchen and dining space. Between the two bedrooms there is one queen size bed, a bunk bed, and a twin size bed. Come relax on the shores of Leech Lake.
You have access to use kayaks, water bikes, paddleboats, and canoes, all for free! We want vacationers to feel welcome and at home. Our resort provides a variety of activities for all ages: kayak races, skiing lessons, crafts, homemade donuts on Friday, and more! Spend an afternoon fishing off of our dock or take a splash in the water and swim out to the floating raft.
The area has a variety of fun things to do. Visit the quaint downtown area for a variety of shops and restaurants. Hiking and biking is especially popular in the area and a variety of trails are nearby. The Paul Bunyan State Recreational Trail meanders along abandoned rail corridors and offers great geocatching. In addition, a variety of golf courses are nearby and there is a horse stable as well.
