The first thing you will notice when you arrive at this wonderful Lake Vermilion vacation rental is that the main cabin is attached to a guest suite by a breezeway. In the spring and summer, you are welcomed by colorful gardens and a patio with panoramic lake views. Fall colors are brilliant, and in winter, fresh blankets of snow transforms the cabin and Lake into a winter spectacle - admire it from the warm inside, or step out the front door and try snowshoeing. You can plan, and book directly with us so we'd be happy to give you some tips on snowmobiling and cross country skiing trips. When it’s time to remove that refreshing winter chill, step into the spacious cedar sauna, located off the bathroom. Fishing on Lake Vermilion is legendary. We are open year around, so no matter when you visit, the fish cleaning station is handy and ready.
A restful sleep every night! One spacious bedroom with a queen bed and very comfortable queen pull-out sofa in the Living Room/Kitchen area. All the bedding, towels and paper products are provided.
A full kitchen makes meal prep a breeze. If you feel like cooking outside, The BBQ grill is right out the front door. One of the most surprising thing about our Minnesota vacation rental is the nearby horse boarding farm - though, it's more likely that you’ll bring a boat. If you do bring your boat, the public landing just 2 miles down the road, and you can dock at our pier the entire time.
Once you walk down to the lake, you’ll see Josante Shores is nestled behind an island. Though, there are 365 islands. A quiet spot on the lake, and the island is great for exploring or having a picnic-with-a-view. Straight out from the dock is one of our favorite fishing spots on the lake! If you are here for Opening Fishing, you won’t have to go far to catch some fish. Lake Vermilion is 40,000 acres!
Plan on spending lot of time on “The Point”. That’s where the fire pit is! See and feel the majesty of Lake Vermilion (one of the top ten most scenic lakes in the United States) and the north woods -every evening. Our natural sand beach and gentle sloping shoreline make it easy and ideal for swimming - the hammock and sitting deck are surrounded by trees.
Make sure and ask Judith (the owner) about her 5-grains “Bread of Life” Workshop.
Choose from 3 kayaks, a canoe, and a fishing boat with oars. Put it all together, and that’s how you enjoy a Lake Vermilion vacation.
