Looking for lots of space for big families or large parties? In 2012 we enlarged Cabin 10 by adding a new 3-season porch that enhance the view of grove of trees that surround the Cabin. A private path leads from the 3-season porch through the woods to the lakefront. Outside is a large front deck equipped with picnic tables and chairs. Back in side is a wood burning fireplace in the living room. Enjoy a group dinnertime at the hand-hewn table & bench.
Sleeping arrangement: Cabin 10 has a queen size Sleep Number Bed in the master bedroom. Bedroom two features bunk beds. And the 4-season porch doubles as bedroom three - with a full-size pullout couch.
Cabin 10 is part of our 12 cabin resort. Cabins range from 1 to 5BR. 26 RV sites too. Surprising amenities: WiFi Internet can be found at our office and beach; ¾ mile hiking trail, Canoes and kayaks, Vending items, firewood, ice and bait - even a A Finnish Sauna. The Sun deck is a great place to enjoy a cool beverage.
The lakeside cabin comes supplied with an 16' aluminum fishing boat and oars. An upgrade to add a motor to the boat is available.
Our Sunset Cruise is a laid-back Cruise that ends in the center of Bear Island Lake just a few moments before another glorious sunset.
Island exploration! Bear Island Lake has walleye, northern pike, small mouth bass, bluegill, crappie and other pan fish plus 22 different islands. Cabin 10 has a private fire pit for amazing star gazing. Nearby is Kawishiwi Falls Trail - don't forget your camera and binoculars. We host a free guided tour of Kawishiwi Falls, one of the most majestic waterfalls in the region. Adventurous jumpers can be seen along the cliff ledges.

We really lucked out on our first ever trip to Ely we were totally winging it and WOW! We won! On a total cold call from looking at the website I took a shot and Chad was so helpful and got us Cabin 10 for 2 nights, We really wish we could have stayed longer! Mary K
Timber Wolf Lodge is truly a paradise! We have spent 8 summers at TWL and every year that we return for our vacation, it is better than the previous one! The beach is private with a bouncer for the kids to enjoy. Almost every day, you watch an eagle family fly over as you lounged at the beach. Kim G
My time Timber Wolf Lodge was the most idyllic retreat I have ever had! I would recommend this location to anyone who loves scenic lakes, ample hiking areas, comfortable sleep number beds, or simply just a soul-inspiring vibe. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, the cabin was beautiful and well-stocked, and the location was prime. Laura L
This was our first visit to Timber Wolf Lodge. We've been visiting Ely for the past 22 years but always stayed at a different resort. We wanted a change of scenery and this place is where our good friends from Ely recommended. The staff was outstanding. Collegemom
