We were thinking big when we built Cabin 10! Large kitchen complete with a dishwasher, open floor plan that is great for a gathering area and a wonderful large bathroom. This cabin is part of our big 11 cabin resort on Pelican Lake. If your vacation revolves around fishing, Pelican Lake is well known for great Bass fishing, fantastic Bluegill and Crappie, and plenty of Northern Pike and an occasional Walleye. Even the lake is big - 11,000 acres, more than 50 islands and over 54 miles of shoreline. But you can still find a quiet bay or shoreline to fish or swim.
Sleeping arrangement: Bedroom 1 has 2 sets of bunk beds while bedrooms 2 has a double bed and bedroom 3 has a queen bed.
Handicap accessible but not limited to handicap only. This is a fantastic rental for any group up to 8. We have all the basics covered for you: Dishes, cookware, glassware, silverware, a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, oven and refrigerator. Lines are provided and so is dish soap, toilet paper and garbage bags. Some outside extra are included too, picnic table and charcoal barbecue grill.
Because you plan and book directly with us, we can give you lots to fishing tips like: Rocky points are often choice spots for fisherman; once the water warms up a bit and you see frogs out, try fishing top water; In the spring fish for Crappie with a bobber and a minnow near Bald Island. Adam is an avid fisherman-especially for Smallmouth Bass and he’d love to look over a lake map with you and share fishing stories.
What time of the year is more suited to your interests? In May the water will be cold but the loons return to the lake and the bald eagles come back to their nests. June is the worst month for bugs but incredible for fisherman. In July the lake gets busy and is perfect for swimming or water skiing. You will find blueberries and raspberries too. August is full of warm days where swimming and lounging in sun without the hassle of bugs (except around dusk). September’s shorter days means you can enjoy the occasional Aurora Borealis. Fishing makes a come back as well.
