A spacious cabin with big views of 1,000 acre Eagle’s Nest Lake #3. This unique lakefront treasure has 180 degrees views from numerous windows! Inside, the cozy living room has an abundance of Northwood’s furnishings and antiques. Also, a large kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, and small appliances. Dish washing soap, garbage bags, kitchen towels and pot holder.
The Northwoods theme continues outside for sure! The towering red pines, dozens of cedar and birch trees give visitors a MN Northwood’s experience they’ll never forget. Spread out on two docks - take a seat and dip your toes in the water, or jump right in and go for a swim.
Sleeping arrangement: This cabin offers open sleeping quarters in main cabin and a guest cabin with a queen bed. Modern bath with Jacuzzi style tub.
The expansive rock outcroppings around the cabin are a great front row seat to the lake scenery. The second best seat is around the large brick fire pit with lawn furniture. Easy in and out thanks to the loop driveway - plenty of parking. Our Ornhekker Fjorden cabin has
a large yard so bring your yard games.
This cozy cabin is for outdoor enthusiasts. Located mid-way between Tower and Ely - 16.4 miles from Ely whose surrounding forests are home to abundant wildlife from moose, deer, black bear, timberwolves, loons, bald eagles, osprey and songbirds. Ely’s downtown has unique shops, restaurants, and museums. The International Wolf Center and North American Bear Center are popular with locals and tourists.
The adults will love the no fuss propane grill for preparing meals, and the free canoe (ask us, Ely Lodging, for paddles and life vests). Bring your own boat and use our private boat launch, or rent one of our watercrafts. Explore the lake out your front door, and the 1 million acre tract of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! Eagle’s Nest Lake #3 is nearly 50’ deep and has no motor restrictions. Get ready to catch some fish: Smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, perch, bluegills, and crappies are very common and ideal for shore lunches. Fishing is Ely’s #1 attraction!
