You’ve come this far. You may as well take a day and put on a “Lewis and Clark” hat and explore the canoe routes around Longville -they are some of the best available in Minnesota from beginners to experts! We recommend The Boy River Route route. Just keep your eyes on the banks and in the sky for eagles, deer, otter, mink, beaver, bear, wolves, grouse and many more native animals.
Since you book directly with us at Diamond Crest Resort, we can aim your adventure compass in the right direction. Our lake is famous for lunker Muskies, Walleye, Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie and Bluegill. The Paul Bunyan State Trail is used for biking, hiking, and in the winter, for snowmobiling.
Longville's famous turtle races every Wednesday during the summer. It’s also is a bicycle-friendly city, offering trails for the outdoor lover in you. Best of all, our Diamond Crest Resort is just 9 miles south of Longville, MN. Participate in the Art Crawl, or play a round of mini-golf at Birdies Mini Golf & Water Wars.
You might find it hard to leave the lake! 1,226 acre Wabedo Lake is one of Minnesota's finest fishing lakes. You have boat access to Little Boy Lake too. Water flows north from Wabedo Lake into a navigable channel that connects to the southern end of Little Boy Lake (not so little though, it’s 1,451 acres). Bring your boat, or rent any of our fishing boats or pontoon boat for a great day on the water. Weekly cabin rentals include a free 14ft Lund boat, bring your own motor -15hp max.
Winter Fun is waiting for those hearty souls! For snowmobilers - hold on to your helmets because the trails are limitless. Want to fish like a seasoned resident? Locals actually prefer ice fishing. There are miles of groomed skiing trails through our pristine forests. You can make your own trails too - strap on your Snowshoes and disappear into the alder and aspen thickets.
