The Perch - Cabin 4 - at Blackduck Lodge & Resort is a large two-bedroom log cabin vacation rental settled on a quiet, private lot on Blackduck Lake. This 1900s-era lakefront cottage enjoys a grassy, shaded lot hemmed in by trees with a view of the lake and an open-air deck with a picnic table and charcoal grill.
The Perch offers comfortable accommodations for six with a full XL bed in each of the private bedrooms and an additional full-sized futon couch in the living area. This home also has one full bath with a standing shower and a dine-in kitchen.
The kitchen in the Perch is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a full-sized oven, stove top and refrigerator, a coffee maker, a microwave and a toaster, in addition to a full array of pots and pans, dishes and utensils.
Along with the futon, the cozy living area includes old-fashioned rocking chairs, a Roku TV and wireless internet. The cabin is equipped with both baseboard heating and air conditioning to make it a comfortable northern Minnesota cottage.
With the log cabins being over 100 years old, Blackduck Lodge and Resort is unique. The cabins sit on a hill overlooking Blackduck Lake and each cabin is unique. The cabins were built to house loggers while the Blackduck Lake area was logged. The cabins feel into disrepair over 10 years ago and were fully renovated to add modern conveniences
Blackduck Lodge & Resort offers onsite boat rentals for guests. A 14-foot Crestliner fishing boat is available with a cabin rental for $50.00 per day plus gas or $250.00 per week plus gas. Boat rentals include a 20 horsepower four-stroke Yamaha motor, a bilge pump, a live well, pole holders and a Color Fish Finder with GPS. Contact us prior to your arrival date to reserve your watercraft.
The Blackduck Lodge & Resort on Blackduck Lake is an idyllic waterfront getaway for families to enjoy the outdoors. It is also a great place to plan a group hunting or fishing retreat. The resort is centrally located to a number of excellent fishing lakes and public hunting grounds. Blackduck Lake itself is stocked annually with walleye, and is also home to a large natural population of northern pike, bluegill, rock bass, black crappie, bullheads, largemouth bass, freshwater drum and yellow perch. Other fishing opportunities in the area are available at the neighboring Upper Red, Bemidji, Pimushe, Benjamin, Cass and Turtle River Lakes. Stop in at the office, and we’ll be glad to point you to some of our favorite fishing spots.
If hunting is what you’re after, Blackduck Lodge & Resort is also conveniently located to the Chippewa National Forest and the Minnesota Wildlife Management Areas in Beltrami County. The Chippewa National Forest boasts 298 non-motorized trails, and 11 hunter walking trails that lead through grouse and deer habitat.
