This 3 bedroom cabin has ample amounts of room to spread out to enjoy each others company. Sleeps up to ten. Fully furnished kitchen has full size fridge, oven, slow cooker, popcorn maker, and oven. This kitchen has wine glasses and all cookware as well. Lots of breeze and ceiling fans for summer and heat in the winter keep you warm.
The living room is large enough for your group to gather around and play games by the fireplace. Bedrooms are all upstairs so not to disturb those that are asleep while you enjoy the large deck or vast amount of green space. This cabin is truly like being alone. Have you ever seen the Northern Lights? This is a show that will astound you. A naturally occurring spectacular of gases reacting to the magnetic field give off a color light show in fall and spring.
The resort has many things to do like organized activities and games. The onsite playground, basketball court and volleyball court keep kids entertained all day. The paddle boats, kayaks and canoes are free to use. There is also a lodge with a free library, chalk art table, horseshoes, and washer boards. The Boundary Waters is an outdoor recreational paradise.

Reservation Details:
Lodging rates are subject to 9.875% taxes (MN Sales and Ely Lodging) and unlike other resorts we do NOT charge an additional 3% service charge. A deposit is required to confirm each cabin or suite reservation and the amount varies by cabin and length of stay.
We accept Discover, Visa & MasterCard & checks.
Deposits will be applied towards our guest's account balance. The reservation balance due is collected at check-in. Deposits will be refunded (less a $100 service charge) if a 90 day notification of cancellation is given. Guests not canceling their reservation prior to check-in date are responsible for the remaining balance.
We stayed at Northern Lights Lodge for three nights over the Labor Day Weekend. We have been to Ely many times and we have stayed at other cabins - this was one of the best. It's about a 15 minute drive from town - so you have the flexibility of staying in a 'cabin in the woods' and cooking your own meals - or - driving to town for lunch or dinner. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and checked in. We stayed in cabin five, which was perfect for us (2 people). The cabin was nicely decorated and comfortable and spotless. We really appreciated how well the property was maintained. We loved sitting on our deck with a beautiful view of the lake. Although we didn't use it - we had our own private dock. Although this was a 'get away from it all' stay, we were able to use our ipad at the main lodge. We appreciated the ability to 'check in' and keep up to date on news.
My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Would love to spend a full week in a cabin at Northern Lights Lodge.-Chicago
