Enjoy this two-bedroom log cabin with a knotty pine interior that gives it the “up north” feel. This cabin is perfect for a small group or family looking to spend some time at a vacation rental near the lake. The cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen, CTV, wifi, private deck, charcoal grill, picnic table, and a private fire ring.
Shing Wako Resort consists of 12 cabins and 6 large reunion lodges. All of our comfortable cabins invite you to the lake view of Lake Edward for your enjoyment. The resort also includes coin operated laundry machines and free Internet in or near your cabin.
Between mid-June and mid-August, you can book a “week,” checking in after 9 am on Saturday and checking out the following Friday before 10 am. You can also book a less than week stay; Friday – Monday for 3 nights or Monday – Friday for 4 nights. Either one is the same rate for the same size cabin. From May 1 to mid-June and mid-August to September 30 we have a minimum 2 night stay.
Sleeping Arrangement: The two bedrooms include one double bed each with provided linens. The living room also includes a sofa sleeper that can sleep an additional two people for a total capacity of six individuals.
The Shing Wako Resort has many special features including the proximity to the 2,000 acre Lake Edward. Your cabin is just 150 yards from the lake and allows for all sorts of fun water activities. Shing Wako offers boat and dock rentals so you can use a boat here or bring your own! Our 24’ Pontoon Boats and and 18’ Deluxe Fishing Boats are perfect for fishing trips on Lake Edward. Both boats have depth detectors and fish finders to catch all the walleye, pike and bass Lake Edward has to offer.
The Resort is also perfect for large reunions. Our variety of cabins and lodges makes this vacation rental the ideal place for family reunions, corporate retreats or friendly gatherings. This resort makes it possible for your group to stay under the same roof in our bigger lodges too.
The Shing Wako Resort offers many fun summer activities including fishing, boating and fun on land. Due to the large amount of Pine Trees, many species of birds have made the Shing Wako Resort their home. Bird watching is a great opportunity to view species such as the American White Pelican, Bald Eagle, Pileated Wood Pecker, and Baltimore Oreole. The Pine River Riding Stable is also a great way to get a dose of nature while riding a horse through a guided trail. The stables also have a free petting zoo with all sorts of critters, perfect for kids!
If you are visiting Shing Wako Resort in the winter, the Brainerd Lakes Area has over 1,200 miles of snowmobile trails. Snowmobiling is a great winter activity that allows you to discover more of the beautiful scenery of the Brainerd Lakes Area. Downhill and cross-country skiing is also a big attraction for the whole family. Ski Gull near Gull lake is a great and affordable hill that makes for a fun and exciting winter day.
