Lodge 19 is on half of the lakeview lodge with a connecting door in the kitchen to the other half. This lodge is perfect for large families, corporate retreats and other group events. One side of the lodge (four bedrooms) can host up to 14 people and if you rent the other half, your group can be as large as 28! The two story lodge creates plenty of space for everyone with a roomy 2008 square feet in each unit.
Shing Wako Resort consists of 12 cabins and 6 reunion lodges. All of our comfortable cabins invite you with a lake view and include a private deck and fire pit. The lodges have their own free washer and dryer!
Between mid-June and mid-August, you can book a “week,” checking in after 9 am on Saturday and checking out the following Friday before 10 am. You can also book a less than week stay; Friday – Monday for 3 nights or Monday – Friday for 4 nights. Either one is the same rate for the same size cabin. From May 1 to mid-June and mid-August to September 30 we have a minimum 2 night stay.
Sleeping Arrangement: The lower level bedrooms have Select Comfort™, Sleep Number® beds; one king and on queen. The upper level consists of two bedrooms, one with a Select Comfort™ queen.
Shing Wako has eleven park-like acres to explore. Paved paths throughout the property means guests can bring bikes, roller skates, and scooters. Also on the resort we had two playgrounds where kids can climb, slide or swing. Each cabin also comes with free use of paddleboats, paddleboards, single & double kayaks, canoe and life jackets. Lake Edward is also perfect for swimming with crystal clear water and a sandy shoreline and over 2000 acres.
Rent 14' or 18' fishing boats or any of our three new Bennington pontoon boats! They are very popular with families and loads of fun!
On our resort grounds we have carpetball, walking paths, horseshoe pit, volleyball, tether-ball, basketball court, loads of green space for yard games, sports equipment, board games, books, and so much more. Nearby you will find horseback riding adventures, unique shopping in Merrifield and Brainerd, wagon rides, mini golfing, markets, water parks, breweries, casinos, and state parks.
