Our White Iron Beach Resort itself has been serving our guests for over 100 years. This is your chance to go back in time and discover the White Iron Lake of years past.
Step inside and see the knotty pine ceilings and walls. The camp chef will love the big modern kitchen. Both are what you would expect in a Minnesota cabin on White Iron Lake.
Sleeping arrangements: Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 double beds. Plus a queen-size sleeper sofa. Large bathroom has a tile shower. Another 1/2 bath in bedroom 3.
Reminder: Guests will need to bring their own bath and dish towels.
White Iron Beach Resort was founded in 1917. These days, many families and groups visit Ely for the natural beauty of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! If wilderness canoeing and kayaking is for you, we have a MN resort cabin for you. BWCAW is the largest wilderness preserve east of the Rocky Mountains and you can boat to it.
We have 26 resort rentals and each one has their own size & uniqueness. Cabins range from modern to remodeled, with light housekeeping available. Cabins sleep from 2 to 14 people. Enjoy the beautiful Ely scenery the outdoors without having to stay directly in it!

What do guest like most? All ages love our playground and beach filled with lots of sand for building sand castles. Play all day at the resort‘s volleyball and basketball courts, or participate in game night. What else? Trolling for trophy walleye, finding crappie beds, boating a lunker of a northern pike, and casting for bass. You get a scenic lake surrounded by the Superior National Forest and world class Ely, Minnesota fishing.
White Iron Lake is part of a five-lake chain that extends into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Bring your boat or ask us to set you up with a rental and cruise the islands and rocky shorelines where little has changed in nearly a century.
Keep your feet on land and stroll the Bois Forte Heritage Center and Cultural Museum (featuring the Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe); learn about the legendary last resident of the BWCAW at the The Dorothy Molter Museum in Ely; look a gray wolf in the eye at the International Wolf Center; learn from the bears themselves at The North American Bear Center.

Up to 6 people. Since you book directly with at White Iron Beach Resort these rates do not include any third-party booking site service fees. The rate is our rate plus tax only.
Peak season at White Iron Beach runs from mid-June to mid-August, with weekly rates of $1658.00.
During the off-season (mid May - mid June and mid August thru October), weekly rentals are available at a rate of $1326.00.
Weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. Check-in is available starting at 3:00 pm with check-out scheduled for 9:00 am. A deposit of 30 percent of the rental fee or $300.00 (whichever is greater) is required to reserve the cabin. No smoking. NO PETS.
Nightly rentals are available upon request.

WIBR is absolutely beautiful. We found it this year and have been back a couple of times and have another trip planned for August. We LOVE it here. Beautiful setting. Very well maintained resort. Charming, clean, comfortable cabins with great views. Hosts are always ready to help. All the amenities you could ask for. The Lodge adds a lot. The pontoon boat rental was reasonably priced and we were able to catch some nice fish from it. The owners were available throughout our stay and were more than accommodating. I didn't walk the grounds much, but it seemed that most(if not all) the cabins were within 75 yards of the water. I would highly recommended WIBR to anyone looking for a great place to escape near Ely. Jeremy Grev

We had the BEST time. First visit to northern Minnesota for my grandkids and son in law, they loved it all. The last night of our visit we went to the beach and looked a sky full of stars. We loved that the kids could borrow games,shoot pool, and listen to music by the campfire. Cabin was great for our large family, the resort owners were very nice, and very helpful. White Iron Beach Resort in northern Minnesota is entering its 102nd year of outstanding personal service. As Ely, MN’s oldest wilderness resort (the original camp was founded in 1917), White Iron Beach Resort is a historic tourist destination with unique access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and a storied past that includes fur trading, mining for iron ore and the native Ojibwe culture.
We (Kerry and Sandy Davis) bought the property 24 years ago, having enjoyed similar resorts during our own family vacations. Now, we are proud to be a part of the memories created in the beautiful setting at White Iron Beach Resort.
