Newer (2016) summer home just for you, on one of the region’s earliest wilderness resorts: White Iron Beach Resort! Towering ceiling with tons of natural light and lake views - a very large kitchen, and a living/dining area that takes up half of the main floor. Spacious deck also has a stunning views of White Iron Lake. It won’t take the kids and teens long to find our amazing beach and shallow swimming area.
You can’t help but feel the 102 years of history. But that doesn’t mean all of our cabin rentals are old. Our 26 lake cottages range from modern to fully remodeled and sleep from 2 to 14 people. Cabin 26 is one of our larger vacation rentals -perfect for larger groups up to 12.
Sleeping arrangements: Bedrooms have 2 queen beds, 1 double bed, 2 twin beds. Sleeping Loft has a set of twin bunk beds plus a twin bed. Both levels have a full bathroom
Reminder: guests will need to bring their own bath and dish towels.

We’ll be glad to give you plenty of tips on where to roll for trophy walleye, find crappie beds, cast for bass or set your hook into a lunker northern pike on White Iron Lake and the chain. Your family won’t find a better Ely, MN fishing experience.

Our Ely resort has its own boat launch, fish cleaning house, beach (with tons of sand for building sand castles), sauna, lots of docking space, playground, game room, volleyball and basketball court. As evening arrives, everyone gathers round the campfire for our weekly marshmallow roast! Your perfect Minnesota resort vacation is an inquiry away.

These trails can lead you to either a short jaunt, vigorous day trip or an extended wilderness trek in the BWCAW. Locals like the Bass Lake Trail, Angleworm Trail, Trezona Trail, Hidden Valley. Up to 12 people. Since you book directly with White Iron Beach Resort these rates do not include any third-party booking site service fees. The rate is our rate plus tax.
Peak season at White Iron Beach runs from mid-June to mid-August, with weekly rates of $2857.
During the off-season (mid May - mid June and mid August thru October), weekly rentals are available at a rate of $2285.
Weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. Check-in is available starting at 3:00 pm with check-out scheduled for 9:00 am. A deposit of 30 percent of the rental fee or $300.00 (whichever is greater) is required to reserve the cabin. No smoking.
Nightly rentals are available upon request.
The pontoon boat rental was reasonably priced and we were able to catch some nice fish from it. The owners were available throughout our stay and were more than accommodating. I didn't walk the grounds much, but it seemed that most(if not all) the cabins were within 75 yards of the water. I would highly recommended WIBR to anyone looking for a great place to escape near Ely. Jeremy Grev

We had the BEST time. First visit to northern Minnesota for my grandkids and son in law, they loved it all. The last night of our visit we went to the beach and looked a sky full of stars. We loved that the kids could borrow games,shoot pool, and listen to music by the campfire. Cabin was great for our large family, the resort owners were very nice, and very helpful. White Iron Beach Resort in northern Minnesota is entering its 102nd year of outstanding personal service. As Ely, MN’s oldest wilderness resort (the original camp was founded in 1917), White Iron Beach Resort is a historic tourist destination with unique access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and a storied past that includes fur trading, mining for iron ore and the native Ojibwe culture.
We (Kerry and Sandy Davis) bought the property 24 years ago, having enjoyed similar resorts during our own family vacations. Now, we are proud to be a part of the memories created in the beautiful setting at White Iron Beach Resort.
