Cabin 3 at White Iron Beach Resort is a simple, one-story log cabin set near the treeline on an open, level lot. Pets and children will have plenty of room to run, play and explore, while adults can enjoy the screened-in porch, the picnic table and the easy walk to the lake’s edge.
Cabin 3 was partially renovated in 2017 and is fully equipped with open, comfortable living spaces and a modern kitchen. The cabin has one bedroom and a brand-new full bath. Bed linens are provided, as well as dishes and kitchen utensils. The cabin is non-smoking.
As a guest at Cabin 3, you will have full access to resort amenities in addition to cabin amenities. These include public docks, a sandy swimming area, campfire pits, a game room and volleyball and basketball courts. We also offer canoes and pontoon and fishing boat rentals.
Sleeping arrangements: Cabin 3 offers sleeping space for up to four overnight guests, with a full-sized bed and a twin-sized bed in the private bedroom and one futon in the living area.
Reminder: guests will need to bring their own bath and dish towels.
Cabin 3 is one of 26 traditional-style northern Minnesota cabins nestled between the trees at the edge of White Iron Lake. Rent one cabin for a couple’s getaway or a family vacation, or book several cabins at once to accommodate reunions or large-group fishing trips. The town of Ely is unique in being one of the only access points to the untouched beauty of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The resort can provide you with permits upon request through our partnership with the USDA Forest Service. Run away to the Northwoods and enjoy the fishing, the fresh air and the breathtaking views!

White Iron Lake is best known for the excellent fishing, and especially as the source of trophy walleye in years past. Rent one of our onsite motor boats, troll out the back of your canoe, or cast a line from shore — you’re sure to snag a decent-sized bass, crappie, walleye or pike.
All of our cabins are located within easy walking distance to the docks and the resort’s clean, sandy beach. You’ll love the views, and what better way to spend the day than lounging in the sun lakeside, wading the shallows, building sandcastles and munching on a picnic?
Guests can venture into the nearby touristing town of Ely to explore the downtown area, browse the shops and try out the local entertainment and dining scene. Pay a visit to the International Wolf Center or the historic mines, or take a tour of the countryside via hiking and biking trails.

Peak season at White Iron Beach runs from mid-June to mid-August, with weekly rates of $1,383.00.
During the off-season, weekly rentals are available at a rate of $1106.00.
Weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday.
Check-in is available starting at 3:00 pm with check-out scheduled for 9:00 am.
A deposit of 30 percent of the rental fee or $300.00 (whichever is greater) is required to reserve the cabin.
Nightly rentals are available upon request.

The pontoon boat rental was reasonably priced and we were able to catch some nice fish from it. The owners were available throughout our stay and were more than accommodating. I didn't walk the grounds much, but it seemed that most(if not all) the cabins were within 75 yards of the water. We had the BEST time. First visit to northern Minnesota for my grandkids and son in law, they loved it all. The last night of our visit we went to the beach and looked a sky full of stars. We loved that the kids could borrow games,shoot pool, and listen to music by the campfire. Cabin was great for our large family, the resort owners were very nice, and very helpful. We (Kerry and Sandy Davis) bought the property 24 years ago, having enjoyed similar resorts during our own family vacations.
