The main level of the retreat features an open floor plan with custom Timber Frame construction and vaulted ceilings. The cook in your group will love the well-stocked modern kitchen features like the tile floor, large center island with second sink, stainless steel appliances and dishwasher. Fully-equipped with dinnerware and cookware.
The uppper level has a walk-out deck with patio furniture and gas grill. Lower level features large walk-out to custom slate rock patio with fire ring and comfortable patio furniture.
Sleeping arrangement: Better call dibs on the Master Bedroom! It has a king-size bed, large windows facing the lake, and private master bath featuring slate tile. Lower level has 1 bedroom with a queen bed; queen size sofa sleeper in one room.
Timber Frame Cabin faces West for incredible sunsets, make that stunning sunsets! Large picture windows overlook the lake. The lake is steps away - gradual shoreline with steps into the lake - perfect for swimming. Down at the lake is a private dock fire ring and stone patio. Evenings around the camp fire are a popular part of any cabin time!
Inside the mission style furniture and hardwood floors throughout really give you an up north feel and the Private study on main level offers privacy for you and a good book. The lower level great room features leather furniture, satellite TV, gas fireplace, and small kitchen nook with 2nd fridge, coffee maker, and microwave.

Enjoy our free water toys (2 solo kayaks) and the pristine lakes. White Iron Lake is 3,429 acres and is part of a chain including Farm, South Farm, and Garden Lakes which has access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Bring your own boat (or rent a boat and motor) and your fishing gear because this chain of lakes is a local’s favorite for walleye, northern pike, bass, crappie, and pan fish. There are no motor restrictions on White Iron Lake.
Though Fishing is Ely’s #1 attraction. Part of your journey will likely include other activities too: There are endless hiking opportunities in the Ely area for all experience and skill levels.
