Looking for a comfortable Lutsen vacation home for your family or friends? Our beautiful Lutsen Solitude vacation rental is in the ideal location for north shore adventures. Surrounded by the towering pines and with Lake Superior views, you’re sure to love your stay. The living space opens up with vaulted ceilings and a grand stone fireplace. Just off of the open concept living area is a spacious 3 season porch and covered deck, the perfect place to enjoy sunrise over the "big lake". In the evening, enjoy a night under the stars around a campfire. We also have a large deck on the front of the home, great for grilling, we have both a charcoal and a gas grill for your use. You'll even appreciate the parking, it's right in front of the front steps, no trudging through a parking lot with suitcases. We have a 1 car garage plus room for 2 more vehicles or a trailer if you're a snowmobiler.

The home is so cozy; it was professionally decorated with beautiful furnishings! Because of it’s private location, every window offers views of Lake Superior, Moose Mountain or beautiful trees. The main floor includes two of the bedrooms and a full bathroom. Upstairs is the vaulted master suite with a private 3/4 bath, a whirlpool tub for two and gorgeous views of Lake Superior and nearby ski hills. Walk or bike down to Lake Superior's shore or get on the Gitchi Gami bike path and ride for miles through woods, along Lake Superior and over rivers. Lutsen Solitude is the only home on Lodge Lane that offers views of both Lake Superior and Lutsen Mountains. If you have to stay connected while you're on vacation, we have great WiFi and cell signals are strong here.
Lutsen's ski hills are only a mile away and other nearby popular winter activities include cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. This area is also awesome in the warmer months. Enjoy dinner or games on the 3 season porch. Just up the road is the popular Alpine Slide, great for kids (and adults) of all ages. Superior National Golf Course boasts 27 holes is right across Ski Hill Road so bring your clubs. The North Shore Winery is next door. The newest section of the Gitchi - Gami bike trail is 1/4 mile away. The area is covered with miles of hiking trails, horseback riding, and mountain biking, you'll run out of time before you run out of fun adventures.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms and family areas were clean and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed spending the evening in the newly updated screened in porch; no bugs with all the natural sounds and scents of the North Shore forest. This beautiful home is located in an ideal setting. You were close to Grand Marais and many of the state’s best hiking trails. We enjoyed day trips to Grand Portage, Gunflint Trail, Judge C.R. Magney, and Temperance River State Parks. We also highly recommend hiking to Artist’s Point in Grand Marais-breathtaking scenery!

From the moment we drove into the entrance, we were hooked! Amazing location, appearance, layout and décor couldn't have better for us! Of course, being within steps of a winery didn't hurt!
The property has plenty of cookware and serving pieces so we were able to prepare meals without any issues.
We enjoyed the fire ring one evening. The outdoor fire was a perfect way to end our stay as it was a rather cool evening since it had rained part of the day. A cozy fire, a glass of wine and then off to bed to snuggle down under a big comfy comforter. Can't get better than that.
As great as the inside was, so were decks and screened 3 season room. The wildflowers outdid themselves, red, orange, white and yellow blossoms everywhere. Even the white throated swallows greeted us, filling the air with their beautiful music.
We plan on getting back to this beautiful property and bringing family and friends!

Great location! Clean and inviting. Plenty of space for our family of five.
Our stay was very nice. We had everything we needed. The location is perfect for visiting Cascade Falls, Grand Marais, and Lutsen Mountain. There is a winery next door. We did a wine tasting and ended up bringing some bottles home with us. There are some really good bottles. The Moguls restaurant nearby is worth a try. Good food, local brews and drinks. Our hosts had really good communication. We had a care-free stay with no surprises.
We have stayed in several vacation homes and this home is by far the best. Very clean and I give the decorator A+. It is so peaceful and relaxing and the view is awesome. The owner, Jo, is so helpful and prompt on answering any questions. We will definitely come back to this treasure many times.
We had a great stay in this beautiful cabin. It was roomy, immaculate, and had wonderful views. The owners are very attentive, know the area well, gave great suggestions on hiking areas, parks, restaurants, and other varying interests. We loved our stay and would love to go back! The waterfalls were spectacular! You need to go there and soak up the hospitality and enjoy the nature.

We are north shore lovers, in fact, we got married on Moose Mountain, the mountain you can see out the master bedroom window at our home in Lutsen. We bought these homes 16 and 14 years ago and we marvel at all of the wonderful changes to the area and we're so grateful that beauty and wildness remains. These homes represent a dream come true for us and it is our great pleasure to share them with people when we can't be there.
