Located just on the edge of Lake Wabana, Our Little Red Cabin offers an opportunity to get together with the family in a tranquil watery paradise. Whether you want to swim or just relax on the sun-soaked shore, you have come to the right place for your vacation getaway! Of course, the lake is also the perfect place for fishing, and you can prepare a delicious fresh-caught meal on the gas grill outside. Use the fry pan and basket for a delicious and filling treat!
Inside, the vacation cabin is tastefully decorated with wood-paneled walls and flooring; the atmosphere is simple and rustic yet modern. Watch a movie on the flat screen TV from the large, comfy couch and chairs. Or, prepare a meal inside in the kitchen. Amenities include a toaster, microwave, and refrigerator and freezer. There is also, of course, the all-important dishwasher that makes cleanup a breeze!
For sleeping arrangements, the vacation home has three bedrooms (One contains a king-sized bed and the other two have queens) as well as two full bathrooms. One of the bathrooms also includes a full-size washer and dryer, so you can pack light when you come and stay with us. Overall, this vacation home is great for any group that enjoys spending time outdoors and then relaxing in a nice space.
A great feature of this vacation home that makes it stand out is our boat dock! Take your boat with you so that you can truly get out and enjoy the water, whether you want to go fishing or just see the sights of the area from a different angle. The dock is also a great spot for the sunbather in the group to relax without being separated from those who would prefer to go swimming.
Visitors to Grand Rapids, Minnesota will appreciate the beautiful opportunities to explore nature in whatever way that looks like for them. Grand Rapids also has a variety of great places for food and drink, so if cooking isn't your thing, you should still be covered!
Visitors should definitely check out Schoolcraft State Park, where you can go on a beautiful hike and have the opportunity to witness a white pine that is more than 300 years old. The park is also open to boating. Another opportunity is to go to the Avenue of Pines Scenic Byway, where you can see the beautiful pines that are characteristic of the area.
This bustling community is home to a variety of events, from Bingo Night to a Paint and Sip Night. These are always good to look into for visitors who will be in the area for a while as a means of meeting some of the locals. Then, for lunch, head to Bixby’s for either a coffee and bagel or a little bit heartier fare. You can also go to The Pickled Loon Salon for a great atmosphere, or spend the evening at the family-friendly Klockow Brewing Company.
