Lodge 15 is on half of the lakefront lodge with a connecting door in the kitchen to the other half. This lodge is perfect for large families, corporate retreats and other group events. One side of the lodge (three bedrooms) can host up to 12 people and if you rent the other half, your group can be as large as 24! The two-story lodge creates plenty of space for everyone with a roomy 1680 square feet in each unit.
Shing Wako Resort consists of 12 cabins and 6 reunion lodges. All of our comfortable cabins have a lake view and include a private deck and fire pit. The lodges have their own free washer and dryer!
Between mid-June and mid-August, you can book a “week,” checking in after 9 am on Saturday and checking out the following Friday before 10 am. You can also book a less than week stay; Friday – Monday for 3 nights or Monday – Friday for 4 nights. Either one is the same rate for the same size cabin. From May 1 to mid-June and mid-August to September 30 we have a minimum 2 night stay.
Sleeping Arrangement: The first floor has one bedroom with a Select Comfort™, Sleep Number® king size bed. The 2nd floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen Select Comfort™, the 2nd has 4 XL twins
The Reunion Lodge is a very unique part of the Shing Wako Resort. The lodge is duplex style, allowing for you to connect with the other side or maintain privacy. Both sides of the cabin have two decks, one covered and the other uncovered that comes with picnic tables, chairs and a large gas grill. This is the closest lodge of the three to the beach and provides a beautiful view of the lakefront. This lodge’s proximity to the lake presents many opportunities for fun water activities!
Lake Edward is a very special aspect to the Shing Wako Resort experience. The lake has 100% sand shores and an average depth of 15 feet, making it perfect for swimming. With 2,000 acres, there is plenty of space for everyone on the lake. The lake is also stocked with walleye annually and other species.
The Shing Wako Resort offers many fun activities during your stay. We have boat rentals and dock rentals for those that bring their own boat. Paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and lifejackets are available for free with your cabin or lodge rental. The Shing Wako Resort also has plenty of green space for running around in addition to volleyball, basketball and tetherball courts. The paved paths throughout the property are great for biking, skating and scooting! There are also 3-4 mile walking trails leading in and out of the resort.
Away from the Shing Wako Resort, there are many opportunities for day trips. Check out local markets, parks and stables for other fun activities. There are also several state parks in the area. Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, located near Crosby, is an incredible spot for fishing, kayaking and scuba diving. The Crow Wing State Park is perfect for nature lovers with prairie, pine and hardwood forests to explore.

Marty and Sue, Thanks again for the wonderful family vacation you provided for us. The cabin with awesome kitchen, bathrooms & beds, the grounds, beach, pontoon, and all the fun things to do and still have enough space to feel private are AMAZING, the fact that you keep up with it all is equally amazing. The whole place is kept so clean and maintained right down to the wonderful firewood you brought to us nightly. Not many, if any resorts are keeping up to these standards anymore.
