You just found a modest cabin with an enormous water park out the front door. Bear Island Lake is 2,351 acres in size. It is incredibly picturesque and studded with islands. Bring your yard games too - this cottage has a large yard. Adults will love relaxing on a private dock while the kids enjoy splashing around in the small swimming area.
Island View Cottage has a great view of the lake from the large picture window! Up to 8 people will find ample space thanks to the extra seating off the living room.
Fishing is Ely’s #1 attraction! So, get your fish on! Catch walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie, pumpkinseed, and pike. Canoeing is the #1 silent sport! So, grab a canoe and a couple of paddles and enjoy nature to its fullest. Bring your boat (public boat ramp access is nearby).
Sleeping arrangement: First bedroom has a queen bed and lots of closet space, 3/4 bath across the hall with a large, tiled shower. Second bedroom with queen bed and bath with shower next door. Pull out sofa sleeper in living room, plus enclosed porch full size futon.
Open living room has a gas fireplace for those spring and fall chilly mornings. The spacious kitchen has a retro wood stove, but runs on propane making cooking a breeze. Kitchen is stocked with oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, small electrical appliances; fully-equipped with dinnerware and cookware. Dishwashing soap, garbage bags, kitchen towels and pot holders provided.
For larger groups who love the Minnesota outdoors, there are camp sites just across the inlet on the island - spend a night or two under a canopy of stars on a remote wilderness island. Our goal is to make your trip into the MN wilderness just perfect.
