Cabin 3 is one of the smaller cabins at Blackduck Lodge & Resort in northern Minnesota. This one-bedroom, traditional log cabin rental home offers comfortable accommodations for four on a private lot at the edge of Blackduck Lake in Hines.
Cabin 3 is settled on a grassy lot with mature trees that provide shady patches for relaxing. A dirt path slopes gently to the water’s edge, making it easy to take a morning walk near the lake or spend the afternoon fishing and swimming. This home also has a small open-air porch and a charcoal grill.
Inside, Cabin 3 makes efficient use of space with an open floor plan that includes a fully equipped, modern kitchen, a small dining room table and chairs, and a sitting area with a queen-sized futon couch.
Cabin 3 also has one private bedroom with a queen-sized bed, storage shelves and a window that lets in natural light. One full bath at Cabin 3 is equipped with a standing shower and clothing/towel hooks.
Blackduck Lodge & Resort offers onsite boat rentals for guests. A 14-foot Crestliner fishing boat is available with a cabin rental for $50.00 per day plus gas or $250.00 per week plus gas. Boat rentals include a 20 horsepower four-stroke Yamaha motor, a bilge pump, a live well, pole holders and a Color Fish Finder with GPS. Hines, Minnesota is a sportsman’s paradise, centrally located to a number of excellent fishing lakes and public hunting areas. The shoreline on the property at Blackduck Lodge & Resort belongs to Blackduck Lake, which is home to a natural population of bluegill, largemouth bass, rock bass, yellow perch, black crappie, bullheads, northern pike and freshwater drum. However, it’s best known for annually stocked walleye. Ask us when you check in, and we’ll be glad to point the way to some of our favorite fishing spots on Blackduck Lake. Other nearby fishing holes include Upper Red Lake, Pimushe Lake, Cass Lake, Lake Bemidji, Benjamin Lake and Turtle River Lake.
In addition to the famously plentiful lakes, this area of northern Minnesota is home to the Chippewa National Forest and the Minnesota Wildlife Management Areas in Beltrami County. Both offer public hunting during certain seasons, and the Chippewa National Forest has hundreds of hunters trails that lead through dense natural deer and grouse habitat. Other favorite activities in the area include golfing, ATV trails, and shopping and dining in downtown Bemidji. Give us a call, and we can provide restaurant recommendations, in addition to local hunting information.
