The Walleye - Cabin 2 is an early 1900s log cabin located at the edge of Blackduck Lake. One of four family vacation rentals at Blackduck Lodge & Resort in Hines, MN, this two-bedroom, six-person lake cottage is the perfect northern Minnesota fishing escape.
Set back near the treeline, the grassy, gently sloping lawn at the Walleye offers both sunny and shaded spots to relax near the water An open-air deck is furnished with a picnic table, shade umbrella, grill, and fantastic views of Blackduck Lake.
Inside, the Walleye has a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, dishcloths, hand soap, dish soap, and modern appliances. The open floor plan connects the kitchen to a cozy living area with a full-size futon couch and a small dining table and chairs.
The Walleye has two private bedrooms and one full bath. The bedrooms are decorated in a rustic style with a full XL bed in each, as well as a side table and alarm clock. Both bedrooms offer scenic views to the outdoors.
Blackduck Lodge & Resort offers onsite boat rentals for guests. A 14-foot Crestliner fishing boat is available with a cabin rental for $50.00 per day plus gas or $250.00 per week plus gas. Boat rentals include a 20 horsepower four-stroke Yamaha motor, a bilge pump, a live well, pole holders and a Color Fish Finder with GPS. The log cabins at Blackduck Lodge & Resort are situated by the eastern edge of northern Minnesota’s Blackduck Lake. This large body of water is kept well stocked with walleye and has also been known to produce bullheads, bluegill, largemouth bass, northern pike, black crappie, yellow perch, rock bass, and freshwater drum. Our resort is an ideal rustic getaway for those wanting to enjoy the outdoors with some excellent hunting and fishing thrown in — and we’re happy to share our favorite lucky fishing spots!
Besides the scenic and fruitful Blackduck Lake, the Walleye at Blackduck Lodge & Resort is centrally located to several other great options for lake fishing, such as Turtle River Lake, Benjamin Lake, Upper Red Lake, Lake Bemidji, Cass Lake and Pimushe Lake, among others. We are also conveniently located to the Chippewa National Forest, where guests can hunt and explore on a number of nature trails that pass through native deer and grouse habitats. We are happy to provide seasonal information and directions for hunting and fishing in the area.
There are other public hunting areas nearby as well, such as the Minnesota Wildlife Management Areas in the neighboring Beltrami County. Other area activities and attractions include golfing at the Blackduck Golf Course, cruising the extensive ATV Trails, taking a drive down the scenic Lady Slipper Highway, or shopping and dining in downtown Bemidji. We’re also happy to recommend local eateries — some of our favorites include the Countryside Restaurant North, the Hillcrest Supper Club and the Turtle River Chophouse. The Blackduck Golf Course is 1/2 mile away as well as the Blackduck City Park.

Check in starts at 3:00 pm with check out scheduled for 11:00. Late check out not arranged in advance will incur a fee of $50.00/hour.
The resort observes quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am.
We ask that guests please use the fish cleaning facilities and not the cabin kitchens to clean fish.
