Open year round, Cabin 7 is a vacation home with wheelchair accessibility. It has a large open floor plan, kitchen, dining area, and living room. The attached, screened porch is a comfortable place to enjoy the evening air and watch for Northern Lights. There are three bedrooms and a pull-out sofa bed in the living room. You can feed a crowd from the kitchen, and there is space outside for cook-outs on the grill (bring your own charcoal). Cabin 7 has a microwave. It’s the only cabin with a TV. The TV gets Dish network service, and it’s attached to a VCR/DVD player.
Find your own piece of secluded heaven here! You will be deep in the pristine forest, yet only 16 miles from beautiful Grand Marais. Trout Lake is a wilderness-like lake, and Trout Lake Resort is small, with only seven cabins. Three of the cabins are on the lake shore and have direct access to the lake. The other four cabins are on a small hill with nice views. Every cabin has a deck or porch. Relax, enjoy and renew!

Fish for rainbow trout, lake trout, speckled trout, and brook trout. No special equipment is needed, but fly fishing for rainbows and brookies is a favorite of some of our guests. Stop by the lodge, and we can usually tell you what’s been biting.
Swim by the dock or on the sand bar. Play a game of horseshoes at the recreation area. Take a walk, and keep an eye out for moose and fox. Relax by the campfire. Listen for the loons, and watch for falling stars.

We certainly have enjoyed our stay here at Trout Lake Resort. The cabins are quaint and homey. The lake is scenic and quiet. It has been a relaxing stay here. Thank you for providing this haven for others.
