Sunrise on Lake Superior. Sunrises are breathtaking from Inn Suite #7 but even more breathtaking from the beach. Many guests take their cameras to the beach to capture that experience.

Sea Smoke in Winter. Sit in the window seat of Inn Suite #7 on a below zero day and watch the "sea smoke". These steam curlicues rise off the lake surface in the bitter cold into a dark cloud mass that forms over the center of Lake Superior.

Saltie Passing By. What an adventure to take passage on a ship that will travel from the Atlantic Ocean to Duluth. Most ships we see pass by are ore freighters but this high sitting ship is a "saltie" meaning it has traveled from salt water.

Lupines. Enjoy blooms from a variety of vegetation throughout the summer such as these Lupines near Inn Suite #7. White violet, dark purple and pink lupines can be seen almost everywhere in the road ditches along Highway 61.

Private Patio. Inn Suite #7 is my brother's favorite rental because of the patio he can sit on just outside the entry door. The proximity of this patio to Lake Superior cannot be beat.

Winter View. Winter is an ideal time for a romantic getaway. Some guests actually time their stays to arrive before the storm so they can watch the storm on Lake Superior while keeping warm by the wood fireplace in Inn Suite #7.

Stairs to the Beach. Most guests want access to our rocky beach whether it is to get closer to the water, touch the water, or get into the water. This is one of our staircases near Inn Suite #7 leading down to the beach in early spring.

Eastern View of The Inn. About 40 feet from the beach, only walking paths, natural vegetation, and rocks separate you from the water. The tall multiple gable inn is built on the footprint of the original house.
