The lake is calling, and this 2,600 square foot pine interior cabin is your gateway to Minnesota lake life. The cabin itself is a perfect landing spot, with 3 bedrooms (2 on the main floor and bunk beds in the loft) accommodating up to 14 people, 1 bathroom with a 5ft whirlpool/shower for two, powder room, laundry room, large kitchen with all the essentials, and open living area centered around a lovely stone fireplace.You will find plenty to do inside, with high speed wireless internet, two TV's, movies, books, games, Nintendo, and HBO and Netflix streaming included.
While the interior of the cabin has all you’ll need to be comfortable, the outdoor space is the true essence of the property! Gorgeous panoramic lake views will relax you and beckon you to enjoy the outside. The backyard comes with direct lake access via a private 48’ dock and a 16’ aluminum fishing boat (3 seats, outboard motor and gas, and an electric trolling motor), all yours for your visit! A private beach and swimming area are also yours to enjoy, with 2 kayaks, a paddle-boat, canoe, swim raft and various floating toys.
Back in the yard after an invigorating day on the lake, fire up the grill and enjoy a meal on the outdoor patio overlooking the water. Lay back in the hammock, sit around the fire pit (complete with firewood), or enjoy the outdoor sauna and shower. This is relaxation at its very finest, and a great family getaway !
Don’t leave your furry friends at home for this getaway, as pets are welcome in all areas of the home except the furniture, beds, and the carpeted areas in the loft. An outdoor chain link kennel is provided for leaving pets unattended if you are going out to dinner, or a travel kennel can be used inside the cabin.
This home is an all-season space, with central A/C in the summer (not common in Minnesota!) and in-floor heating in the winter.
There is no shortage of ways to enjoy this area of Minnesota! In the summer, swim, boat, or kayak Little Bowstring Lake or one of many other lakes in the vicinity. Other nearby lakes worth trying are Deer, Moose, Caribou, and North Star lakes. Lace up your hiking boots for a meander on a local hiking trail in Chippewa National Forest. Enjoy a day of golf, adventure on an ATV trail, or explore by bike. In the winter, cross country ski or snowmobile in the surrounding Suomi Hills. Bring gear to hunt or ice fish and enjoy a meal caught yourself (a fish cleaning station is provided in the boat shed on property). Simply sit back with a warm drink and gorgeous winter lake views through the large windows of the cabin. The wood fired sauna is available any time of the year to sweat it out followed by a lake splash.
If city life is more your style, nearby Grand Rapids, Minnesota is home to many restaurants and coffee shops. Enjoy nightlife with breweries and wine bars. Browse a number of quaint shops. Catch an international performance at the Reif Theatre or a community theater production of the Grand Rapids Players. Step back in time at the Itasca Historical Society or Forest History Center. Satisfy your creative streak at the Macrostie Art Center. Enjoy a car race at the Grand Rapids Speedway, a local horse event, various fairs, festivals, and sporting events throughout the year. With a combination of nature and fast-paced entertainment, northern Minnesota is sure to become a favorite destination!
