A private lake. A private vacation at our Upscale Log Home, Everett Ridge! Everett Lake is just off the Echo Trail and 11 miles from Ely, MN. The very peaceful 109 acre lake has limited public access. Catch northern pike, walleye, bass, perch, bluegills, and crappies - good action for anglers of all ages. All are wonderful shore-lunch eaters.
Sleeping arrangement: Loft is master bedroom suite open to main level with lake view, queen bed, and private half bath; second bedroom on lower level with queen bed; third bedroom on lower level with twin log bunk beds.
Enjoy the beautiful view of the lake from the large deck and many windows in the cabin. Two large sundecks overlook the lake with plenty of patio furniture. Take turns swinging on the porch rockers and swaying in the comfortable hammock. A short drive puts you downtown Ely, MN - true hometown hospitality at shops, restaurants and museums. Unique events include the International Wolf Center, Soudan Underground Mine State Park (The 1.5 hour guided tour will take you 2,341 feet down and more than 100 years into our past), North American Bear Center and more.
Canoe and 14' boat included with rental; motor available for rent.
Enjoy winter activities! You have direct access to snowmobile trails and close proximity to ski trails. Cross country ski and snowshoe right from the cabin front door.
The shoreline is shallow with weeds, but there is a great public beach a couple miles down the road for swimming. Choose your day trip option: From our lake you can take the small portage into Twin Lake which has direct access to Burntside Lake. From there, take a 200 rod portage to Fenske Lake. Nearby access to Hanson, Nels, Pickett, and Grassy Lakes too. The second day trip option is to the famed Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness - 1500 miles of canoe routes! Paddle and do a little fishing, or just find a special spot on the shoreline for a picnic lunch with a view! As local experts, we’d be happy to help plan a day trip that meets your needs and skill level.
Things to remember: bring your own bath/beach towels and toiletries. Toilet paper is provided.
