SweetWater Resort is open for reservations April 15 through December 26.
Cabin 1 is lakeside. Drink in the beauty of Fish Trap Lake. Relax underneath the glowing sun as you enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake-shore and beautiful wooded surroundings.
Weekly rates: Saturday to Saturday during summer (peak) season of Mid-June to Mid-August. We do provide a "split-week" stay of either 3 nights or 4 nights stay during the peak season where you arrive on a Saturday or depart on a Saturday. An example: Arrive Sat. -- depart Tues for 3 nights or arrive Tue.-- depart Sat. for 4 nights.
Daily rates: 3-night minimum peak season and 2-night minimum the rest of the year.
We provide one dock space for each cabin at no charge. We have small 14 ft fishing boats and 20 ft pontoons available for rent. Fish Trap's 1,250 acres of water provides enjoyment for all water activities. Build a sand castle on the swimming beach. Love to fish? You'll find walleye, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, crappie, perch and panfish in the clear waters of scenic Fish Trap Lake.

Leave all the stress at home! Come and truly relax at SweetWater Resort with no TV's, no phones....but free Wi-Fi if you need to stay connected. Feel free to bring the whole family, even the dogs! Take a slow walk through the Healing Gardens - enjoy watching nature's creatures enjoying the gardens too. After a day out in the sun, grill out for dinner together and end the night around the campfire.
Things To Do
Explore Fish Trap Lake by boating or canoeing around the five islands, or take a swim in the refreshing water. Pontoons/fishing boat rentals available. Fishing, skiing, canoeing. We have an organized activity each morning Sunday - Friday for kids ages 4-99. Area Birding in Lake Alexander Woods Scientific and Natural Area; 2,000 acres of undisturbed nature. Pine Ridge Golf course is only 5 miles away and many other golf courses nearby. Minnesota winters provide public access to more than 700 miles snowmobile trails right near the cabin.

We provide all the fire wood you need for each fire ring.
We will dock one boat per cabin at no charge. Additional boats will be charged $25.
In summer (May - October) we allow pet dogs only. We charge $90/wk or $15/day per dog. Min 2 dogs per cabin. NO DOGS IN WINTER MONTHS.

April of 2001, Chuck and Cindy Brey purchased a small resort on Fish Trap Lake in central Minnesota and named it SweetWater. Moving from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to the lake country was a welcomed change. No matter the season, the Breys strive to provide the best vacation possible to their guests. They want to establish an environment where people feel relaxed and at Home. They say, "People need an opportunity to get away and rest from their everyday grind." Daily, organized activities are available. SweetWater has a playground, beach, paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks that guests use at no charge and fishing boats and pontoons are available to rent.
