Cabin #2 is a, lakeside, SEASONAL CABIN available Fishing Opener in May through September 15 of each summer. Rent for the season, come and go as you please and drink in the beauty of Fish Trap Lake. Relax in the shade or the sun as you enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake-shore and beautiful wooded surroundings.
Nightly rates are available May 1 - May 8 and September 16 - October 1, weather permitting.
Weekly rates: Friday to Friday during summer (peak) season of Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. We do provide a "split-week" stay of either 3 nights or 4 nights stay during the peak season where you arrive on a Friday or depart on a Friday. An example: Arrive Friday -- depart Monday for 3 nights or arrive Monday.-- depart Friday for 4 nights.
Daily rates: 3-night minimum peak season and 2-night minimum the rest of the year.
We provide one dock space for each cabin at no charge. We have small 14 ft fishing boats and two 20 ft pontoons available for rent. Fish Trap's 1,250 acres of water provides enjoyment for all water activities. Build a sand castle on the swimming beach. Love to fish? You'll find walleye, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, crappie, perch and panfish in the clear waters of scenic Fish Trap Lake.
Unique Features
Enjoy our pristine, vintage, modernized, knotty pine cabins. SweetWater doesn’t have TV’s, but you can stay connected with free Wi-Fi in the cabin. Paddle boats, canoes and kayaks are available to guests at no charge. Pontoons and 14 ft fishing boat w/motor rentals are available. Each cabin has a charcoal grill for grilling and a fire ring. We provide 2 bundles of wood at check-in. Additional firewood is $7.00/bundle.
Things To Do
The lake offers a variety of challenging structure - ideal for walleye, large mouth bass, northern pike, crappie, perch and panfish. The resort grounds are covered with Healing Gardens -- a respite for guests. Sit on the public deck and enjoy these lakeside gardens and a view of the lake and swimming beach. Nearby find horseback riding, fishing museum, golf course.

April of 2001, Chuck and Cindy Brey purchased a small resort on Fish Trap Lake in central Minnesota and named it SweetWater. Moving from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to the lake country was a welcomed change. No matter the season, the Breys strive to provide the best vacation possible to their guests. They want to establish an environment where people feel relaxed and "at Home." They say, "People need an opportunity to get away and rest from their everyday grind." Daily, organized activities are available. SweetWater has a playground, beach, paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks that guests use at no charge and fishing boats and pontoons are available to rent.
