Your stay at the Geodesic Domes in Eden Prairie, MN will be nothing short of magical! Two geodesic domes create almost 8,000 sq. ft. of interior space with unique amenities indoors and outside on two acres of property next to a lakefront beach on Bryant Lake. This 6-bedroom/4.5-bath vacation home is located only 25 minutes south Minneapolis; and could be your next destination for your family reunion, company retreat, or special friends getaway that can sleep up to 30 guests. The architecturally stunning living room/kitchen area has a unique window configuration that bathes the space in light and features a 3-sided, wood-burning fireplace.
Up the spiral staircase is the master suite with its Tempurpedic king bed and master bathroom with its European soaking tub. Bedroom 2 (main level of Dome 2) has a queen memory foam mattress, and bedrooms 3-6 have double memory foam mattresses. There are also lofted sleeping areas in several of the bedrooms that have queen memory foam mattresses.
Dome 2 has a bouncy castle, lots of board games and toys, and a mini-stage for talent shows and performances. You could classify this as an indoor adult/child play haven with an indoor hallway putting green, exercise room with equipment, and a mother-in-law kitchen to store lots of snacks and beverages. Outside is a marvelous garden experience where you can relax by waterfalls, a fog pond, on the deck, or by the fire ring/grilling area. Children will love walking on the stone paths across streams, exploring the backyard play structure, and jumping in the trampoline.
The kitchen is equipped with a brand new Viking gas range, new dishwasher, new kitchen sink and faucets, new double oven and microwave, and a huge fridge, dishwater, silverware, glassware, cooking utensils, and pots and pans. Seat four at the kitchen dining table, four at the breakfast bar, and eight at the Italian-made glass dining room table. Guests can also use the washer/dryer and iron/board.

The photos don’t depict the many nooks and crannies that are fascinating to explore at any age and are terrific for the best hide-and-seek games you’ve ever played. Buckminster Fuller, who envisioned the architectural concept, once visited this unique geodesic dome. The two domes create almost 8,000 sq. ft. of interior space for 6 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and an exercise room with a bike, treadmill, free weights, mirrors, ballet bars and more. A hallway putting green and mini-stage for impromptu performances are sure to delight children.
The extensive landscaping over the two-acre property includes frog ponds, waterfalls, streams, and bridges. Lounging on one of the decks or down by the fire pit will give you a feeling of being at a resort rather than a Minneapolis suburban home. The expansive upstairs deck area is a great space to practice yoga or simply relax on the lounge chairs and patio furniture.
After all the practice on your own hallway putting green, you may want to get out on the real thing. Be sure and bring your golfing gear, because the Braemar Public Golf Course is only a ten-minute drive away. For all those fans of the musician, Prince, his Paisley Park private estate is only a few minutes drive away where you can now buy tickets to tour his home and production studio.
Just step out of your Minneapolis Geodesic Domes retreat for up to 30 guests and take a five-minute walk to Bryant Lake Regional State Park with a beautiful free beach! The park has hiking trails; Frisbee Disc Golf; and paddleboats, kayaks, or SUPs for rent so you can explore the lake. Since you book directly with us (Sarah and Simon) we can suggest other parks and events too: Round Lake Park and Beach, Shakopee Theme Parks, Canterbury Park horse track, Purgatory Creek Park, Wings of the North Air Museum - if it’s a rainy day, the kids will love the Trampoline Park and Fun Center and all ages can find entertainment at the Old Log Theatre.

Wonderful house and property, especially for groups, in great location. John R. I stayed at the domes with a group of 20 friends. The house was wonderful; plenty of space to fit and sleep all of us without feeling crowded at all. The outdoor space is even better with several large decks for lounging, a huge multi-level yard, pond, garden (with chickens!) and great fire pit and area to grill. Sarah was a delight to work with; extremely helpful and responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend staying at the domes, especially if you are with a group.

Sarah, the owner, was incredibly helpful both leading up to and during our stay. Any time I had a question she responded immediately and did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had our daughter’s birthday party here and it was truly a magical experience for everyone. The house and grounds are a paradise for little ones and quite fun for adults as well! We feel so fortunate to have been able to experience the magic of the domes and highly recommend this property. You won’t be disappointed!
Awesome! Jeff G. New York. We had such a fantastic stay at the domes! Sarah is so incredibly sweet and accommodating - she went the extra mile to ensure we had the best stay. The house is beautiful and was easily large enough to accommodate a group of 15 guys comfortably. It's also on a big property with plenty of outdoor space. Not to mention a putting green inside! The house is conveniently located, only ~20 minutes from the airport, but still feels relatively isolated and peaceful. It is directly across the street from Bryant Lake Park, which has lake access and canoes, kayaks, etc. for rent, as well as a fun disc golf course. It is also only about ~25 minutes from Lake Minnetonka, where there are tons of options for boat and pontoon rentals for larger groups.
Above and beyond. Ron L. We stayed for a long weekend with some family and friends, and the domes do not disappoint. Sarah's attention to every little detail went way above and beyond what I expected. The property is terrific for families, with loads of toys and games, a little stage for performing, a little frog pond, and much much more. Right across the street is one of the nicest beaches in the MSP area, with boats and paddle boards for rent and a great little playground. But it's a great place for adults as well. The architecture is stunning and very thoughtfully designed. It's huge, but full of little nooks and surprises, from the putting green hallway to the herb garden out back. Five stars all the way.
