Our Hyde-A-Way Bay Resort on Birch Lake consists of 16 modern housekeeping cabins; all surrounded by tall trees and clean grounds. Great swimming and water sports are a short walk away; Cabin 4 is just 50 feet from the beautiful sandy beach. There’s even a boat landing right on the premises if you bring your own boat. Boat down the shoreline all the way to the quiet town of Hackensack - find food, treats, and shopping. Cabin guests can enjoy the resort’s log lodge with its large seating area. It has something for everyone - food, games, gift shop, laundry, and ample seating. Your kids vacation memories will include feeding the chipmunks and resort rabbits.

Inside Cabin 4 is knotty pine interiors, carpeted, shower, microwave, range, refrigerator, dishes, and bed linens provided. Bring your own towels and personal items. Enjoy MN blue skies, clear water and Hackensack, also near Walker, Brainerd and Longville. Resort accommodations for small families to large family reunions. We even we have an 18 unit seasonal RV park. The resort gooding include a Concession Stand serving Pizza, Sandwiches, Pop, Candy, Slushes, Soft-Serve Ice Cream. Game Room has Video Games, Pool Table and Juke Box. Cribs (upon request prior to arrival). Laundromat - Coin Operated - Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The Spring fishing opener is a great time to be here. Just before we close up for winter, mother nature puts on a Fall color show you’ll never forget. Our resort offers endless fun: fishing, campfires, 2 Rainbow Playground sets, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, swimming, birdwatching, paddle boats, canoe, paddle boards. Keep us in mind for your deer or bear hunting trip, put our hanging rack to good use. Family and friends enjoy the lake fun and fishing. Bring your own boat or one of ours, basic to luxury or our pontoon. Use our fish cleaning house with stainless steel cleaning tables to clean your Walleye, Northern, Bass, and Panfish.
Nearby activities include golf courses; exploring the Paul Bunyan Trails; connecting with nature at the Itasca State Park and the Deep Portage Reserve. Biking Chippewa National Forest, or hunting for antiques; try your luck at the casino.

Includes lake access, lake shore, lodge, boat dock and ramp, all amenities on the property and your cabin with one watercraft dock space or spot. We Prefer Cash and Checks but also Accept major credit cards. Once your stay is complete and you are settling your bill, you have the choice of leaving your $200 booking deposit to hold the same cabin for the same week next year or allowing it to be open for others to reserve for the next year.
