Now we got your attention! Welcome to THE place for your family to unwind and soak in a great MN vacation experience. Cabin 11 is just 42 feet from Birch Lake and our warm sandy beach. The swimming area has a slide and platform. Kids will always remember feeding the chipmunks and resort rabbits. A great Minnesota lake vacation is within reach.
Cabin guests can enjoy the resort’s log lodge with large seating area. It has something for everyone - food, games, gift shop, laundry, and ample seating. All resort guests enjoy the concession stand serving pizza, sandwiches, pop, candy, slushes, soft-serve ice cream. What’s a resort without a Game Room? We have video games, pool table and juke box. Cribs (upon request prior to arrival). Laundromat - Coin Operated - Memorial Day through Labor Day.

After a day of Birch Lake fun, or taking in some area activities, head back to Cabin 11 for some quiet time in front of the fantastic stone wood fireplace - beautiful knotty pine interiors, carpet, shower, microwave, range, refrigerator, dishes, and bed linens are provided for guests. Bring your own towels and personal items.
Our greatest assets are Minnesota lakes and fishing at its very best - take to the lake with your own boat or one of ours. We even have a boat landing right here at the resort. Every cabin is unique at the Hyde-a-way bay resort. If you have a larger group, or are thinking about a family reunion, we have a total of 16 modern housekeeping cabins. We even we have an 18 unit seasonal RV park. Ask us about renting a pontoon!
With 127 lakes to explore in a 10-mile radius from Hackensack, there will always be new places to explore. Only 8 minutes from Leech Lake too. Hanging around our family resort, you will meet other families and make new ‘resort’ friends. Catch Walleye, Northern, Bass, Panfish and put our our fish cleaning house with stainless steel cleaning tables to good use.
Nearby activities include golf courses; biking the Paul Bunyan Trails (but don’t forget your water bottles as there is no water along the trail from Hackensack to Walker); hike the Itasca State Park and more.

Includes lake access, lake shore, lodge, boat dock and ramp, all amenities on the property and your cabin with one watercraft dock space or spot. We Prefer Cash and Checks but also Accept major credit cards. Once your stay is complete and you are settling your bill, you have the choice of leaving your $200 booking deposit to hold the same cabin for the same week next year or allowing it to be open for others to reserve for the next year.
