It’s time to reconnect with your family and experience the kind of MN vacation you only dream about. Cabin 7 on Birch Lake is clean and modern. It offers great swimming and water sports. The popular swimming area has a Slide and Platform. Cabin 7 is just 68 feet from the shore and beautiful sand beach. Now that's a memorable Minnesota lake vacation. Cabin guests can enjoy the resort’s log lodge with large seating area. It has something for everyone - food, games, gift shop, laundry, and ample seating. Kids vacation memories will include feeding the chipmunks and resort rabbits.
After a day of canoeing and kayaking, relax inside Cabin 7 - beautiful knotty pine interiors, carpet, shower, microwave, range, refrigerator, dishes, and bed linens are provided for guests. Bring your own towels and personal items.
Sleeping arrangement: 3 Bedrooms with 1 Queen bed, 2 Double beds and futon.
If you have a larger group, or are thinking about a family reunion, we have a total of 16 modern housekeeping cabins. We even we have an 18 unit seasonal RV park. All resort guests enjoy the concession stand serving pizza, sandwiches, pop, candy, slushes, soft-serve ice cream. What’s a resort without a Game Room? We have video games, pool table and juke box. Cribs (upon request prior to arrival). Laundromat - Coin Operated - Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Did you know that Hackensack is home of Lucette Diana Kensack (Mrs. Paul Bunyan)? Perhaps our greatest assets though are Minnesota blue skies, clear water, and fishing at its very best - with your own boat or one of ours. We even have a boat landing right here at the resort.
Welcome to the Heart of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes! Nearby activities include golf courses; biking the Paul Bunyan Trails (but don’t forget your water bottles as there is no water along the trail from Hackensack to Walker); hike the Itasca State Park or the Deep Portage Reserve. Biking around the Chippewa National Forest, or poke around area Flea Markets. Feeling like it’s your lucky day? Try your luck at the nearby casino. We recommend a couple of events too: Back to Hack in February, the Sweetheart Canoe Derby in June, and the September Chainsaw Show.
Catch Walleye, Northern, Bass, Panfish and put our our fish cleaning house with stainless steel cleaning tables to good use. The Birch Lake shoreline stretches all the way to the quiet town of Hackensack - Go by boat and find food, treats, and shopping. Lakeshore campfires, 2 Rainbow Playground sets, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, swimming, birdwatching. You'll need a week to fit it all in!

Includes lake access, lake shore, lodge, boat dock and ramp, all amenities on the property and your cabin with one watercraft dock space or spot. We Prefer Cash and Checks but also Accept major credit cards. Once your stay is complete and you are settling your bill, you have the choice of leaving your $200 booking deposit to hold the same cabin for the same week next year or allowing it to be open for others to reserve for the next year. Should you find it necessary.
