The Point Cabin #3 sits at the tip of Moose Lake Resort's peninsula, offering panoramic views down the lake and across the bay. Because of its unique position, guests can watch both sunrise and sunset from the comfort of their deck. Soft breezes sweep across the point, carrying the scent of pine and water while you relax in the shade.
The cabin is designed for up to four guests with two cozy bedrooms (one with a queen bed and another with two twin beds) plus a sleeper sofa in the living area for additional sleeping space. A bright open‑concept kitchen and dining area features large picture windows facing the water, so mealtimes come with a view. The ¾ bathroom is clean and modern, and the cabin comes fully furnished with linens, cookware, Wi‑Fi, television and air‑conditioning.
Step outside to your lakeside deck, where you’ll find a picnic table, charcoal grill and fire pit perfect for evening bonfires. A private dock and complimentary rowboat invite you to spend the day fishing or paddling. When you’re ready to explore, you’ll appreciate that the cabin is part of a well‑cared‑for family resort with access to shared amenities, yet The Point feels wonderfully secluded.
What truly sets The Point Cabin apart is its unrivaled setting. Perched on a narrow finger of land jutting into Moose Lake, this cabin is surrounded by water on three sides. Guests wake up to golden sunrises over the bay, enjoy afternoon breezes, and unwind with glowing sunsets over the main lake without ever leaving their deck.
The cabin’s large windows and sliding glass doors blur the line between indoors and outdoors, flooding the living space with light and framing postcard‑worthy views. A deck just steps from the shoreline is ideal for morning coffee or star‑gazing at night. Even though you’re near all of the resort’s activities, The Point Cabin feels like your own private haven thanks to its position away from neighboring cabins.
Moose Lake Resort is designed for active vacationers and relaxation seekers alike. When you’re not fishing from your private dock, you can head to the sandy beach and swim, paddle a kayak or canoe, try stand‑up paddleboarding, or jump off the diving platform. A complimentary rowboat is included with each cabin, and the resort also offers sailboats, pontoons, motor boats and water‑skiing or tubing for an additional fee.
On shore, there’s no shortage of recreation. Miles of hiking and biking trails wind through the surrounding forest, perfect for spotting birds and wildlife or enjoying a peaceful stroll. Families and friends can challenge each other to horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, badminton or bocce on the resort’s sports courts. The playground, teen room and game room with pool table, foosball, air hockey and board games keep kids and teenagers entertained.
Guests who love disc golf will appreciate the resort’s 18‑hole disc golf course and pickle ball courts, while golfers can practice on the three‑hole course. Evenings are perfect for bonfires under the stars, reading a book on the deck or simply napping in the afternoon breezes.
Beyond the resort, take a scenic drive along the Lady Slipper Scenic Byway and explore nearby towns. Cass Lake is about 18 miles away, Bemidji about 26 miles, and the charming village of Blackduck is just 16 miles to the north. These communities offer restaurants, shops and cultural attractions when you’re ready for a change of scenery.

Stennes & Buhn’s Moose Lake Resort has been a family tradition since 1946 when Del and Elvera Hall, members of the Stennes family, purchased the property. Back then there were just seven rustic cabins, cold running water, outhouses and even a cow named Daisy Mae who helped provide homemade ice cream for guests. The resort was sold in 1966 but was reclaimed by the family in 1972 when Jack Buhn and brothers Paul and Richard Stennes bought it.
Over the decades they have lovingly remodeled existing cabins, added new lakeview accommodations and introduced modern comforts while retaining the quiet character of the Northwoods. Their mission is to offer clean, fully furnished cabins where families can make lasting memories. Generations of guests return each year because they feel like part of the Moose Lake family.
