We’re excited to feature our newest cabin, which was built in 2015 and still has that new cabin smell! It comes complete with vaulted ceilings and a modern, open floor plan. Its a great match for groups of couples looking for a fun getaway, or families that want a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
Northern Lights Resort is situated on the sandy beaches of Voyageurs National Park and Lake Kabetogoma, which one of 4 big chain lakes with crystal clear waters and 100 feet of forested, sandy shorelines. Renters will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, a spacious and inviting living room and dining area with large windows overlooking the bay through the trees, not to mention a spacious deck with furniture, hot tub, charcoal grill, picnic table and fire ring.
Sleeping arrangements: BDRM 1 = Queen bed; BDRM 2 = sleeping loft with beds for 2; 1 hide-a-bed couch with a Queen mattress in the living room.
Vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan with a spacious living room and dining area/table. Large windows overlooking the bay of the lake, plus a sliding door in living room that leads to a spacious deck with furniture, hot tub, charcoal grill and a fire pit (your first bundle of firewood is FREE).
The resort itself has high quality fishing, pontoon boats with GPS (for safe boating and (fish finding), a floating water park, private bay with a safe harbor for docking boats. We’ve been providing wilderness retreats and family fun for over 85 years, plus we have some of the best fishing in the area along the shorelines of Lake Kabetogoma… we’ll even clean your fish for you! Additionally, you can utilize our video, book and game library, game room with ping pong and foosball, lawn games, and mountain bikes all for FREE! We also have the largest floating water park in Northern Minnesota, complete with a climbing wall, slides, and trapeze, which is sure to appeal to kids and adults alike. There is so much to do you’re sure to stay entertained without stepping a foot outside the resort!
If you wish to venture outside the resort, there are tons of things to do in the area! Voyageurs National Park offers numerous activities for every season; from fishing and guided boat tours in the summer, to snowshoeing and more in the winter months. The Orr Bog Walk, which is located within the park itself, is a unique half-mile walk among the wetlands of the state forest.
