You’ll want to eventually get up, head downstairs and get outside though because there’s lots to do at the Northern Lights Resort. Yellowstone Loft is surrounded by wilderness in a secluded bay on 16 acres. Gas fireplace. Our extensive shoreline includes a beautiful private beach and sheltered harbor with an extensive dock system (full electric ground fault hookups).
Your Loft comes with a boat slip, so bring your boat or rent one of ours. 16’ or 8’ equipped fishing boats and pontoon boats. All come with GPS. Imagine a day when all you have to do is plan fun and explore Kabetogama Lake and Voyageurs National Park.
We operate as a "Green Resort" and were recognized by Explore Minnesota Tourism.
Main deck has a gas grill at entrance, and a 2nd deck is off the bedroom. Large bath with soaking tub and separate shower. Dining/living room with stone gas fireplace keeps you comfortable on those late fall mornings. These cooler times of the year is when kids love to RUN from the sauna into the lake, and back to the sauna. If the water temperature is safe we set up the largest floating water park in Northern Minnesota! Aqua trampoline, Acqua Tower & climbing wall additions, aqua log & trapeze, slide and a 20' launch.
For 85 years we have created family memories, fishing & fun! Ready to do something you’ve probably never done? Live like a late 1700s and early 1800s French-Canadian voyageur and see Eastern timber wolves, bald eagles, moose and black bears at Voyageurs National Park.
Walk out to the deck and take in the elevated panoramic views of the lake and islands. Seeing is nice, but doing is better. Explore 65 miles of roadless waterways and hike trails only accessible by boat on the Kabetogama Peninsula. Ask us about the guided canoe trips and Island cruises.
The day your arrive is our Welcome Dinner. Learn about our Ice Cream Social, Youth Quest activities and get some fishing tips. The dinner is a great way to meet some of the other families that are at the resort for the week! Our Youth Quest is a special part of your vacation experience. Kids enjoy arts & crafts programs, nature hikes, kayak lessons, scavenger hunts, minnow races and more.
Free Mountain Bikes, Ping Pong, Foosball, Horse Shoes, Lawn Games, HydroBikes, Beach Volleyball. Great fishing right out your front door: Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass and Crappies.
