Don’t worry if you can’t pronounce it (cab-uh-toe-ga-muh) or spell it. Just call it “Kab,” and you’ll sound like a local. The name Kabetogama has many translations. One of our favorites is “the lake that lies alongside another” (Rainy Lake). In the Ojibwe language, Kabe means “all” and Ogema means “chief.” At the Kabetogama Lake Resorts, we think perhaps it simply means God’s Country.
Welcome to Voyageurs National Park! Kab is not your average residential lake either; these beautiful, natural waterways offer world-class fishing for walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass. All of these resorts let you see the Park by boat. Since you book directly with the resort staff, make sure you "ask these experts" about area outfitters that provide fishing guides, and pontoon & boats rentals so you can explore Voyageurs!
Kabetogama Lake Resorts is home to 17 different lakeside resorts nestled in the woods on Lake Kabetogama’s southwestern shoreline. All resorts provide access to the pristine waters of Lake Kabetogama, the abundant wildlife of the surrounding forest, and of course world-class fishing.
